Salima, April 28, Mana: A total of 2,050 delegates are expected to cast their votes in the primary elections taking place in the Salima Central West Constituency.
The incumbent Member of Parliament, Enock Phale is contesting against Minister of Higher Education Jessie Kabwila.
Whoever wins the primary elections will represent the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) as a member of parliament for the constituency in the September general elections.
Micah Chisale is competing against Fransis Mphamba for the position of ward councillor for the Chitala area, while in the Namanda/Lipimbi area, Noel Kamanga is facing off against Ester Soko.
Meanwhile there is tight security at the polling center, at Mgoza Primary School ground.
